At the time of an incident , defender believed that bullet recochetted off his helmet and continued with his mission.
Upon returning back to the base, he realized that helmet didn't just take a hit, but also penetrated it.
Good news soldier is recovering and bullet has been taken out.
Combat helmets, traditionally, are not exactly bulletproof — but they're getting closer all the time, and helmets capable of stopping all common small-arms threats are right on the horizon.
